Last August, your board of directors undertook the replacement of GVL's aging and unsafe swim platform with a new, safer composite platform (compliments of Patricia & Raymond Papp). The plastic barrel components from the old platform were re-purposed into catfish spawning structures placed in 8-10 feet of water near two or three of our nutrient rich inflows. The barrels are food grade rated and will become invisible as algae growth progresses. We thank Steve Speer and our Fish Committee for their work and support of this initiative.
